Sol Menopause (Spring of Life), founded by Grace Oh, has launched Sol, Asia’s first medically reviewed menopause app designed to support women and help employers address one of the most overlooked workplace challenges.
Developed with input from healthcare professionals and informed by real-life experiences, the Sol app delivers personalised, evidence-based, and culturally relevant support to women navigating menopause, a stage that significantly impacts productivity and overall well-being.
The app also aims to help businesses tackle a growing concern: menopause-related productivity losses, which contribute to an estimated US$150 billion in annual costs globally due to healthcare expenses and reduced workplace performance.
“In Asia Pacific, where stigma remains high, 67 per cent of women over 45 say menopause symptoms affect their work, often leading to talent loss at senior levels,” said Sol founder Grace Oh, a former top equity analyst and Harvard Business School graduate.
Oh, who founded Sol after experiencing misdiagnosis during her own menopause journey, emphasised the urgent need for change.
“With Sol, we are introducing a trusted, scalable solution for both individuals and employers. It’s time to move beyond fertility-focused women’s health and provide real support for menopause,” she said.
Sol’s features include a three-tiered scorecard evaluating the safety and effectiveness of treatment options, personalised wellness plans, symptom tracking, and a shareable health report for streamlined doctor visits. The app also offers a practitioner map and expert-led content to improve health outcomes and confidence.
Dr. Tashiya Mirando, Family Physician and Menopause Lead at Osler Health International, and Medical Advisor to Sol, said too many women go through menopause without proper support.
“Sol addresses this gap by providing credible, medically reviewed information and practical tools. This isn’t just a health issue – it’s about enabling women to thrive at work and in life,” she said.
For organisations, Sol offers frameworks to create menopause-inclusive workplace policies and cultivate supportive environments for employees.
The Sol app is currently available on iOS.
