HMI Medical is Workday’s first healthcare customer in Singapore

Workday, Inc., the enterprise AI platform for managing people, money, and agents, announced its partnership with Singapore’s leading healthcare services provider, Health Management International Pte Ltd (HMI Medical), to accelerate digital transformation across the organisation. This collaboration marks a significant expansion of Workday’s presence in the healthcare sector, with HMI Medical as its first customer in Singapore’s healthcare industry.

Headquartered in Singapore, HMI Medical manages over 2,500 staff across Southeast Asia. As the company expands its portfolio of specialist services, it recognised the need to consolidate its growing operations and streamline processes across multiple entities. To support this next phase of growth, HMI Medical has partnered with Workday to unify its systems and enhance operational agility across the organisation.

As part of this transformation, HMI Medical will deploy the full suite of Workday’s Enterprise Cloud-based management products through the Workday platform with AI at its core through Workday Illuminate, Workday’s next-generation Artificial Intelligence (AI). These include Workday Human Capital Management (HCM), Workday Financial Management, Workday Adaptive Planning, and Workday Contract Intelligence, powered by Evisort AI.

With Workday, HMI Medical will enhance productivity and streamline workflows across the organisation, leveraging real-time data and analytics to support talent management and financial management. Beyond HR and finance, teams across the organisation, including executive leadership, legal, and planning and analytics teams, will benefit from a unified, integrated system that drives efficiency and informed decision-making.

Workday Illuminate will support HMI Medical in automating repetitive tasks and free up employees’ time for more strategic initiatives. Leveraging AI-driven insights for better decision-making and more personalised support, HMI Medical will be better positioned to attract, grow and retain top talent.

Chin Wei Jia, Group CEO of HMI Medical, said: “This collaboration marks a significant milestone in our ambitions of becoming a truly smart hospital. Previously, our staff had to manage significant delays from manual consolidation processes that involved more than 60 entities. With Workday, we’re streamlining those processes and leaving inefficiencies in the past.”

Jess O’Reilly, general manager, ASEAN, Workday, said: “In an industry where agility, accuracy, and compliance are critical, healthcare providers need systems that can keep pace with the fast-evolving landscape. We’re proud to partner with HMI Medical and support them on their digital transformation journey to improve workforce management, enhance the employee experience and automate manual processes, so employees can ultimately focus more on what matters most—delivering outstanding patient care.”

With Workday’s unified cloud management suite, HMI Medical will gain a comprehensive view of its workforce, financial data and operations, enabling smarter decision-making and more agile responses to changing patient and staffing needs.
