CelcomDigi Berhad has unveiled The MediHub, a 5G-powered workplace healthcare facility designed to enhance employees’ access to professional medical and mental health services, marking another step in the company’s commitment to holistic employee wellbeing.

Located at the CelcomDigi Hub, The MediHub integrates digital health technologies to provide convenient and confidential care within the workplace. The facility supports both physical and mental wellness through virtual consultations with licensed medical practitioners, psychiatrists and psychologists, enabling employees to seek timely support without disrupting their workday.

The MediHub comprises two purpose-built zones, namely the Care Room and the Mind Room. The Care Room offers employees virtual access to medical consultations via MediDoc, a secure telehealth platform that allows for professional advice, diagnosis and prescription services. Complementing this is the MediKiosk, a smart health station capable of conducting basic vital checks and generating instant health reports to support more accurate consultations.

Meanwhile, the Mind Room focuses on mental and emotional wellbeing by providing a private and safe environment for counselling sessions, stress management support and relaxation. Employees can also utilise self-assessment tools such as the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21) to better understand their mental health and take proactive steps towards resilience.

CelcomDigi Chief Innovation Officer T. Kugan said The MediHub reflects the company’s effort to harness technology to improve everyday healthcare experiences for its workforce.

“By combining 5G connectivity with artificial intelligence solutions developed through our AI Experience Centre (AiX), we are able to deliver accessible, scalable healthcare solutions that support the wellbeing of our people and demonstrate practical innovation for Malaysian enterprises,” he said.

Employee wellbeing remains a key pillar of CelcomDigi’s people strategy, with the company placing strong emphasis on psychological and physical safety. In 2024, CelcomDigi became the first organisation in Malaysia to be certified under ISO 45003:2021, underscoring its commitment to a people-centric and resilient workplace culture.

The MediHub also serves as a showcase of CelcomDigi’s AiX capabilities, which are supported by more than 56 local and global ecosystem partners and encompass over 61 solutions across eight industry verticals. The initiative highlights how digital healthcare innovations can be deployed in practical ways to support employees when and where it matters most.
