Emirates to host aircraft engineering recruitment roadshow in Kuala Lumpur, 16–17 September

Emirates, the world’s largest and most profitable international airline, is continuing its global recruitment campaign for skilled aircraft engineers and technicians, with Malaysia as its next destination. The airline will host a recruitment roadshow in Kuala Lumpur on 16–17 September, targeting talented aircraft technicians and licensed aircraft engineers to join its growing team in Dubai.

The roadshow is part of the Emirates Group’s major global talent drive to recruit more than 17,300 professionals across 350 roles this financial year. The initiative underscores Emirates’ commitment to expanding its technical operations and enhancing maintenance excellence across its global fleet.

At the Kuala Lumpur roadshow, candidates will be able to interact directly with Emirates’ recruiters, engineers, and managers, gaining valuable insights into the roles on offer, salary and benefits packages, and career development opportunities in Dubai. Both seasoned professionals and aspiring engineers are encouraged to attend. Successful applicants will have the chance to work on the world’s largest fleet of widebody aircraft, within a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Emirates has also recently invested US$950 million in a new, state-of-the-art engineering facility at Dubai World Central, set to become one of the most advanced aviation maintenance hubs in the world.

Strong and growing ties with Malaysia

Emirates has served Malaysia for more than three decades, and today operates 21 weekly flights between Kuala Lumpur and Dubai using both the Airbus A380 and Boeing 777. In 2024, Emirates reaffirmed its commitment to the Malaysian market by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tourism Malaysia to promote inbound tourism, boost visitor traffic, and showcase the country’s rich cultural heritage to travellers across the airline’s global network of over 140 destinations.

Under this agreement, Emirates and Tourism Malaysia are collaborating on joint advertising campaigns and familiarisation trips for travel trade and media from key markets in the Middle East and beyond, further cementing Malaysia’s position as a top travel destination.

In addition, Emirates’ codeshare partnership with Batik Air Malaysia allows travellers seamless access to five domestic destinations – including Penang, Langkawi, Johor Bahru, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching – as well as three regional Southeast Asia points via Kuala Lumpur.
